Dion exists so people can walk into a room of strangers and leave with a Community. These guidelines apply everywhere on Dion: Community pages, Activity listings, the feed, chats, direct messages, check-in and the Activities themselves.
For everyone#
1. Respect people. No harassment, threats, bullying, hate speech, or discrimination based on ethnicity, religion, race, intergroup affiliation (SARA), gender, disability or similar characteristics. No unwanted sexual comments, advances or touching.
2. Consent comes first. Ask before photographing or filming someone, and respect a no. Don't share anyone's personal information, location or photos without their permission. Only upload photos to an Activity's shared folder if people in them are happy to be shared.
3. Be who you say you are. Use your real name or a name people know you by. No impersonation, fake accounts, or misleading profiles.
4. Keep it safe. No violence, weapons, illegal drugs or anything else unlawful under Indonesian law. Don't drink and drive. Follow the venue's rules and the Host's safety instructions. Anyone under 21 must not be served alcohol.
5. Keep it honest. No scams, spam, pyramid schemes or pushing unrelated selling. Don't resell Tickets above face value.
6. Keep it lawful online too. No pornography, gambling, defamation, hoaxes or content that is illegal under the ITE Law.
For Hosts#
7. Describe the room accurately. Be clear about what will happen, who it's for, price, time, place, accessibility, dress code, age limit and what's included. Don't overstate capacity, partners, sponsors or perks. Label paid partnerships.
8. All payments go through Dion. Don't ask Members to transfer money, pay cash at the door for a Ticket sold on Dion, or DM you for payment. A "free" Activity must be free to enter. Listings that ask for off-platform payment are flagged and reviewed.
9. Run it responsibly. Have the venue's permission and any licences you need. Plan for safety, such as first aid, crowd size, routes for runs and rides, and weather. Name a safety contact for larger Activities. Check ID for age-restricted Activities.
10. Handle Member data with care. Use Member details only to run your Community and Activities. Give your team only the role they need, and remove access when they leave.
11. Treat refunds and requests fairly. Answer refund and approval requests promptly and consistently. Don't cancel late without a real reason.
12. Message responsibly. Send messages to your Members and Ticket holders only, about your Community, and not too often.
For Members#
13. Show up, or free your place. If you can't go, release your Ticket so someone on the waitlist can. Repeated no-shows may limit your access to some Activities.
14. Follow the Host's lead. Arrive on time, follow instructions, and keep secret venues secret.
15. Give honest feedback. Rate the Activity, not the person. Don't use reviews to threaten or pressure Hosts.
Reporting#
- Emergency: call 112 first.
- In the app: report a person, Community or Activity from its page, or go to Support → Report. Add what happened, when, and any screenshots.
- Block anyone you don't want to see or hear from.
- Reports are confidential. The person or Host you report is never told who reported them. False or malicious reports are themselves a breach of these guidelines.
What happens when guidelines are broken#
| Severity | Examples | Typical action |
|---|---|---|
| Minor | Spammy posts, off-topic selling, a first late cancellation | Content removed, a warning |
| Serious | Harassment, misleading listings, asking for off-platform payment, misuse of Member data | Activity paused, features limited, temporary suspension |
| Severe | Violence, sexual misconduct, threats, fraud, involving minors, illegal Activities | Account or Community closed at once; we may inform the authorities |
We look at context and history. You'll be told the reason for any action unless that would put someone at risk, and you can appeal through Support within 14 days. A different staff member reviews appeals.
